Sempra Protest

05/14/2021 @ 9:00 am – 10:00 am
488 Eighth Ave.
San Diego, California

Join our protest in Downtown San Diego on May 14th to protest Sempra’s (and SDG&E’s) ongoing efforts to grow fracked gas infrastructure, consumption and global export while opposing equitable renewable energy policies and investments. Sempra’s Board has recommended a “no” vote on a proposal to bring its lobbying practices into alignment with the Paris Climate Agreement (see slide 9).

Our ask: Join the protest and help us make a bold statement that refutes Sempra and SDG&E’s outsized political influence and demands climate and environmental justice.

WHAT: COVID-safe in-person protest / rally with creative arts and visuals.

  • Make and bring a sign (we’ll have some there too)! If you prefer, feel free to participate in a bicycle and car caravan around the block.
  • We ask all participants to agree to our COVID-safe expectations: wear a mask, stay 6+ feet away from people not in your household, and don’t come if you have been exposed or have COVID-like symptoms.

Share! Invite your friends to participate. #SempraFracksOurFuture (Link to graphics and messaging)
