Join SanDiego350 to learn about the County of San Diego's bold target of zero carbon by 2035 and the key role the County plays in combating climate change in our region.

Special guest speakers: County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer (who's leading on climate and environmental issues), Tyler Farmer and Meghan Kelly from the County's Sustainability Planning team, and Murtaza Baxamusa, Program Manager for Regional Sustainability.

With a more progressive Board of Supervisors, we have a new opportunity to advance bold climate goals than ever before, but we will need to be strategic and mobilize San Diegans to keep up the pressure and achieve the bold policies this moment demands

In this virtual forum, we will discuss how the County is poised to lead the region on climate goals and policies, including:

  • Bold climate action: What the County must to do reach its zero carbon goal – including transit, ending sprawl development, renewable energy, decarbonizing buildings, and addressing pollution and resiliency in environmental justice communities.
  • The County's main climate-related initiatives – including the Climate Action Plan and Regional Decarbonization Framework, and coordination across the county (18 cities, the unincorporated county, the Port, SANDAG, MTS, and school districts.
  • The opportunities and timeline for us to effectively advocate for bold climate action – how you can get involved.
