Even though we knew this was coming, today’s Supreme Court decision stripping the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to regulate carbon emissions from power plants still felt like a punch to the gut. Read our press statement on this bad decision.

While this setback continued SCOTUS’ recent run of politically motivated decisions that turned back the clock on fundamental rights to reproductive health care, voting, and safety from gun violence, we refuse to let SCOTUS have the last word on climate change or our future.

Now is the time to act.

On Saturday, July 2nd, at 2 pm, we will be gathering at the Hall of Justice to protest the West Virginia vs EPA decision. A multi-generational group of activists will unite to express our concern for the actions of SCOTUS and the lack of action our government is taking regarding the climate crisis. We will be joined by San Diego Councilmember Joe Lacava, chair of the Envronmental Committee. We encourage all to come and join us in chants, discussion, and music
