Have you been supportive of climate change action and wondering “how can I take this to the next level?”. This is your chance to learn how! The SanDiego350 Public Policy Team needs you!

Please join us Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2 pm for our Intro to the Public Policy Team. This is a great opportunity to learn, in an relaxed setting, about the Public Policy Team and the work we do. There is something for everyone. All skills and talents are welcome and needed. We are an engaged and busy team doing interesting work on the front lines of climate change policy in San Diego and at the state level.

The SanDiego350 Public Policy team Mission Statement:

The SanDiego350 Public Policy Team (PPT) coordinates efforts to affect policy and legislation as it relates to climate change issues with an emphasis on environmental justice.
The Public Policy Team:

• Researches and analyzes policy issues
• Creates talking points
• Attends City and County level meetings
• Collaborates/supports other SD350 teams
• Meets with and educates elected officials
• Follows progress with cities Climate Action Plans
• Collaborates with allies, for example: Environmental Health Coalition, Sierra Club, Climate Action Campaign and Californians Against Fracking, to name a few, in order to engage those people most impacted by climate change.
