Big Victories for Community Choice Energy!
Our hard work (phone calls, emails, meetings, protest) and that of our allies to oppose Assembly Bill 2145, which would have essentially killed community choice energy, has paid off - the bill was stripped of the "opt-in clause" in senate committee (UT article). Another victory was the San Diego City Council vote to oppose the bill (6-3). Congratulations to everyone who participated in this effort!!!
Additionally, the Community Choice Energy Forum we helped put on with Friends of San Diego Clean Energy was a huge success, with over 100 attendees. See pics and read about it.
