Dear ,

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us last Sunday for the People's Climate March or who helped make the event an enormous success: at roughly 1,500 people this was by far San Diego's biggest climate event ever. Combined with participation from council members Todd Gloria and David Alvarez, labor leader Richard Barrera, and over 60 diverse endorsing organizations, it was a true testament to what we can do when we work together and to the growing power of the local climate movement.

We are also grateful for the roughly 400,000 people who participated in the People's Climate March in New York City, exceeding all expectations and marking a huge milestone for the climate movement globally. (Great wrap up - photos, video, news)

But the march was just one (albeit momentous!) step in building a successful climate movement. So what's next? We hope you will take the time to:
  • Enjoy and get inspired by photos, videos, and news coverage from the People's Climate March. TV coverage video (7 stations).
  • Join SanDiego350 at our "Intro Chat" on Oct 9 or our next general membership monthly meeting on Oct 21 to find out what we're doing & get involved in the climate movement locally (full details below).
  • Consider donating to SanDiego350 to help cover our costs for the People's Climate March. We're an all-volunteer organization on a shoestring budget so any amount helps and is welcome!  Donate now
