Hands Across the Sand: San Diego’s Voice Matters

Registration is closed for this event
Join hands with San Diegans to oppose the proposed offshore drilling and the disregard for our community's voice.

Trump’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has proposed opening all of the US coasts to offshore oil drilling, and is only offering one public hearing in each state: In California that's 8 hours away in Sacramento -- during working hours.

The public hearing is a complete sham and an insult to Californians who have fought fiercely prevented new offshore drilling for decades. Let's show we're committed to keeping fossil fuels in the ground and a 100% renewable energy future!

Speakers include: Assemblymember Rocky Chavez, Councilmember Lori Zapf, County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar, Congressmember Scott Peters.

Parking: Arrive early to park in one of the public parking lots on the south side of Belmont Park.
