Dear People of spirit and faith,

The San Diego Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice (ICEJ) is supporting the Global Climate Walkout on Sept. 20 and we encourage you to turn out to support our youth who are demanding immediate action on the climate crisis.

As people of faith, we have a moral responsibility to stand with the youth for urgent climate action that is grounded by all faith traditions: love, justice, and compassion.

This Friday, dozens of schools will be holding a climate action. Below are a list of schools (see the link below) that will be walking off campus and that welcome participation by community members:

To check back for any last minute information on schools joining the walkout on

Sept 20 use “Find My Walkout” on the climate walkout website. The above link to public events is also on the website.

This Friday is part of a world-wide effort where youth are calling for a worldwide climate strike on September 20th.

We need as many people as possible to show the world that we will not simply watch while greed, apathy and corruption lay claim to the resources of earth, our common home.  Spread the word. On Friday, September 20 youth in San Diego and around the world are walking out for climate.

Please invite five of your friends and/or congregational members as well -- we need everyone to create the change we need!
