Here's some more information from Phil: The Interfaith Coalition for Earth Justice allied with Third Act and GreenFaith would like to invite interested partners to begin planning for an action to spotlight the key funders of the fossil fuel industry--an action slated for March 21. Exactly what this action will look like is up to all of us to decide but as climate change ramps up, we need to do the same! We have included links to the Third Act website as well as their call to action below. “TO DIS-CREDIT THE BAD BANKS MEANS WE NEED TO ESCALATE!
On March 21 (3.21.23) we’ll have a nationwide Day of Action. It’s got to be broad and beautiful to engage people’s minds and hearts in defunding climate destruction. Together we will help make visible the invisible connection between cash and carbon. We will pressure the big, dirty fossil-fueled banks – Bank of America, Chase, Citibank, and Wells Fargo – to move their investments out of fossil fuels by moving our money out of their banks, actually and symbolically. That’s what this Day of Action is about.”
