Invite your friends! This event is open to high school and college-aged youth: you do not need to be part of the campaigns to attend. Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair, a water bottle, and if you'd like, food to share! *If you have any allergies, please bring your own food.*

We're mobilizing to turn up the heat and make Biden take real climate action – by ending the era of fossil fuels. Here in San Diego, we are fighting for a rapid transition to renewable energy and away from climate disasters like fracked methane gas. Join us for a national week of action here in San Diego on Friday, June 9th 2023!

The Youth4Climate Fall 2023 Summit is for high school and college students interested in honing their skills as an activist of any kind! Participants will also attend multiple engaging workshops and activities aimed at fueling collaborative efforts to envision a climate-friendly future, build local movements and combat eco-anxiety in a nourishing and positive way.

Experienced and budding activists are welcome! The event will be a safe but structured space to grow and meet new people.

Summer Retreat Planning Team: meets every Tuesday from 6-7 PM, contact Nicole to get involved. 

The California Youth Climate Policy Leadership Program (CYCP) empowers youth to take climate action into their own hands. During the program, students participate in a summer retreat and monthly workshops that focus on foundational knowledge and skill-building activities related to environmental and climate action. Students then apply their knowledge and skills on leading a campaign that passes climate policies (or builds on existing policies) in their school or district.

Students receive mentoring from adult coaches and support in developing a personal leadership plan, and are eligible to receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the program. Incoming 9-12th graders should APPLY BELOW by May 29th!

Thank you to all who attended the Big Oil Resistance Tour last Saturday! 

More than a hundred people came out and heard from youth activists, Indigenous educators, and environmental justice leaders on what we can do to protect our communities and climate from Big Oil.

We must continue to build the people power needed to demand action and truly move California beyond fossil fuels. Huge thanks to the Last Chance Alliance and Youth v. Oil for all your hard work!!
