Join us at the annual Auto Show at the San Diego Convention Center to outreach to community members and educate them about the recent effort by several car companies to side with the Trump Administration's efforts to overturn California's ability to set its own (higher) auto mileage requirements, which have been a key way to reduce GHG emissions on a large scale.
We'll talk to the public and ask them to join us in calling on the car companies in question to side with a sustainable planet and California. We'll let people know that they can help the planet with their purchasing power when it comes time to buy their next car. We'll have flyers.
Meet at the Gaslamp Trolley stop. On the north east corner of 5th Ave. & Harbor Dr.
Getting there: Take the Green Line Trolley to the Gaslamp stop. For other trolleys and buses get off at the 12th and Imperial transit station and walk to 5th & Harbor.
It is a holiday so parking downtown should be free. There is also a parking structure, Park-It-On-Market that is reasonable and fairly close to our meeting place.
We may also organize an art build the weekend ahead to make some signs that clarify our message to show attendees – let us know if you're interested and we can let you know.
We need help planning this event! Email the Action! Team to connect and help out.
