Our communities in the South Bay are disproportionately affected by environmental hazards, but we have the power to create a San Diego where all neighborhoods are healthy and happy.  If you’ve ever considered getting more involved in environmental action or climate change action, this is for YOU! We’d love to meet you during this low-key Orientation Chat. No prior experience required!

Learn more about our organization and activities in a low-key, welcoming setting. Meet members, ask questions, see how we are organized and what we’re doing, and explore opportunities for getting involved.
It’s a FREE opportunity for you to learn about environmental issues (like traffic, pollution & asthma) that affect the South Bay and what YOU can do to help. Special thanks to our generous hosts and friends at Bicycle Warehouse in Chula Vista!

  1. Break Free from dirty fossil fuels and transition to clean energy – two side by side booths highlighting the dangers of dirty energy and the way we can help advance clean energy and climate solutions. (on the west end of the Prado near the Museum of Man)
  2. Garden of Eating – booths, vendors and a stage highlighting the connections between food and the environment (in the center plaza)

This is a fun day! We meet lots of people, talk about key climate issues facing San Diegans and empowering them to take action. Fun photo opportunities. We’ll provide materials and training – you just bring a smile 🙂
