Air Resources Board Public Workshop: Federal Vehicle Standards Rollback
May 16 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

The California Air Resource Board (CARB)  is holding a meeting on May 16th at 10am in San Diego to discuss how proposed changes to federal fuel efficiency standards would negatively impact air pollution and increase GHG emissions. If you are interested in transportation this is a great opportunity to learn more about how we can get involved in an important issue.

Here is the info for the CARB website- In August 2018, in place of commonsense standards to increase vehicle fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as federal law requires, U.S. EPA and NHTSA proposed freezing the current standards at the 2020 level through the 2026 model year.

In addition to impacting local community public health, significantly increasing greenhouse gas emissions and accelerating the climate crisis, and enriching oil companies at the expense of drivers, the federal proposal may prevent transportation agencies from building local transportation projects

Friday Green New Deal Rallies at Rep. Davis!
Jun 7 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

We’ve asked Rep. Susan Davis to show us she’s a climate leader by taking three simple steps: 1) cosponsor the Green New Deal; 2) sign the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge; 3) host a town hall meeting on climate change.

But she has yet to take action.

So, as part of the Raise the Alarm Campaign, SanDiego350 is leading rallies outside her office every single Friday, beginning June 7, until she does.

RSVP now to join us to demand that Rep. Davis act on climate change.

We will continue to Raise the Alarm until the Green New Deal is adopted. There is strength in numbers! Join us, make your voice heard, and help us spread the word.
