Coastal Sunset Soirée: Fundraiser for SanDiego350
Jun 16 @ 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Take an afternoon to gather with other climate advocates to celebrate SanDiego350’s achievements in good company, and know your contribution supports our bright future.
The event will be held in a beautiful home in La Jolla overlooking the ocean. There’ll be beer, wine and appetizers (vegetarian and vegan), entertainment from amazing local musicians, a tour of climate art by local students and a fun party game or two. This will be a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with other SD350 members. The event is open house style, so stay for the whole event, or just an hour or two.

Your Donation Will be Matched

All donations will be matched dollar for dollar, thanks to the Left Coast Fund, up to $20,000 total. Help us make sure to reach that goal!
Please help make SanDiego350’s fundraiser a success, and boost our efforts to educate, mobilize and amplify the voices of San Diegans to solve the climate crisis. From mobilizing thousands of San Diegans for climate marches to building coalition with faith and labor groups to educating thousands of students to leading grassroots advocacy for a rapid and just transition from fossil fuels to 100% clean energy, SanDiego350 has shown that San Diegans care and are ready to act.

Rally to stop SDG&E’s proposed gas pipeline
Jun 17 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Join us on Sunday, June 17th at Mission Trails Park for a rally to call on the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to reject SDG&E's proposed new gas pipeline!

The pipeline would run from Rainbow down to Mira Mesa, possibly through Mission Trails, and would carry more than five times the volume of gas than the existing pipeline it would replace carries. The pipeline is expensive (costing ratepayers at least $600M), unnecessary, unsafe, and would commit us to building new fossil fuel infrastructure at a time when we need to be investing in clean energy and renewable energy jobs in order to avert the worst impacts of climate change.

And that's not just us talking – on May 2 the CPUC's Administrative Law Judge recommended rejection of the proposed pipeline. Read our press release.

While this is a good first step, the CPUC could still vote to approve. So we hope you'll join us on Sunday, June 17.

The CPUC could vote on this issue as soon as June 21, 2018 so we need to draw public attention to this issue.  Let’s show our support for stopping this pipeline and protecting beautiful Mission Trails Regional Park and the wildlife that call it home!
This Father’s Day attend this family friendly event and show your love for your children and all life by standing up against unsustainable and polluting fossil fuel infrastructure development. Fun poster making, face painting, and hiking. At the East Fortuna Equestrian Area in Mission Trails Park.

12:00 PM    Optional: Make your own poster for the rally – we'll have all the materials
1:00 PM      Rally and street theater (with Santee Councilmember Steve Houlahan and Tara Kelly, Sullivan Solar)
2:00 PM      Optional: Short family friendly hike!

RSVP today to rally against the proposed pipeline, and help us ensure it is never built!

Also please join and share our Facebook Event.

p.s. If you haven't yet signed and shared the petition to the CPUC opposing the pipeline, please do so now!

California Air Resource Board- Public Workshop
Jun 18 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff is hosting a public workshop in San Diego to seek public input on the development of Senate Bill 375 and the Sustainable Communities Strategy (SCS) program performance report and updates to its program evaluation guidelines.

This is a great opportunity to provide input to CARB on policy that will shape how the San Diego region plans land use, housing, and transportation strategies that will allow the San Diego region to meet its GHG emission reduction targets.

We are looking for SD350 members to come to the workshop and provide input to CARB on how we think the region should meet its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets. In San Diego we don't have many chances to provide input directly to CARB on critical GHG emission reduction policy, so this is an important workshop!
