Support Community Choice Energy (CCE) and 100% Renewable Energy! Come out this Friday, September 29th at 11:45am and support Community Choice Energy (CCE) in the City of San Diego. Following the rally there will be a presentation from City of San Diego staff on their recently released feasibility study which found that a CCE would provide more renewable energy than SDG&E at competitive prices. Community Choice Energy Climate Chat
Oct 25 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

What is Community Choice Energy (CCE)?  It is a program that brings choice and competition into the electricity marketplace. Right now SDG&E has a monopoly on that market. Also known as Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), it opens the market by allowing cities and counties to purchase power on behalf of their residents and businesses. It is also the most effective vehicle to get to our citywide goal of 100% renewable energy. Read more about Community Choice here.

We hope you will join us on October 25th at the First Church of the Brethren for an important presentation and discussion about Community Choice Energy. This event is being sponsored by SanDiego350 and The Peace Resource Center of San Diego. During this Climate Chat, you’ll learn more about what CCE is, why SDG&E has been opposing it, how groups are working together and what you can do to get involved.
Our speaker Ty Tosdal, of Tosdal Law, represents and advises clients on energy regulatory matters and proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission specifically related to renewable energy, electricity rates, distribution and transmission issues. He has acted on behalf of individuals, environmental organizations and alternative energy providers in these proceedings.
As part of the presentation you will get updates about this campaign and how you can help our region achieve 100% clean energy.
