Join us for a guided tour of the Sycuan Cultural Center to help us better understand and appreciate the Kumeyaay community, its history and culture, and its priorities and values. We'll receive a guided tour of the cultural center and museum, and enjoy a program and question and answer session with Kumeyaay members.
The Cultural Center and museum opened in 2016 and is located on the prehistoric Kumeyaay village of Matamo. The center and museum house research and educational materials for use by tribal members and the general public, as well as a host location for exhibits, programs and other services.
We'll include a boxed lunch. Suggested donation: $10.00 to cover lunch and materials (donate at the event). We will share carpooling opportunities once you RSVP.
The South Bay community will meet every 4th Wednesday to talk about how climate change has impacted the community, hear concerns, and to discuss ways to take action. This is our launch for Community Choice Energy in Chula Vista and a post card party!
We look forward to seeing you there!

We’ve asked Rep. Scott Peters to show us he’s a climate leader by taking three simple steps: 1) cosponsor the Green New Deal; 2) sign the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge; 3) host a town hall meeting on climate change.
Although Representatives Levin, Vargas and Davis have cosponsored the Green New Deal, Rep. Peters has yet to take action.
So, as part of the Raise the Alarm Campaign, SanDiego350 is leading rallies outside his office every single Friday, until he does.
We will continue to Raise the Alarm until the Green New Deal is adopted. There is strength in numbers! Join us, make your voice heard, and help us spread the word.

Join SanDiego350's new Fundraising Team and help us raise money. We'll talk about what we're already doing, how we can improve our efforts, and develop some next steps.
We need help with a wide range of fun and rewarding activities, so no matter your skills or interests, there’s a role for you in the Fundraising Team. And never fear – while the goal of the Fundraising Team is to raise money, there are plenty of roles that don't involve asking for money. These include planning parties, researching and applying for grants, talking to people about why you love SD350, social media, thanking donors for contributions, and developing creative materials. Read more.
Fundraising allows SD350 to achieve our mission of building a grassroots climate movement. We use these funds to pay our wonderful staff, buy art supplies, support volunteer and youth leadership, and organize marches and rallies. We need more donors and support to continue growing.

Stick around for our Monthly Membership Meeting at 7pm to get involved right away!
This month's meeting will feature a panel including high school and college students we're working with who will speak about how we're engaging youth in the climate movement – including the successful youth summit in June, summer youth program, and recent die-in at Rep. Peters' office. We'll also hear about plans for supporting Eco-Clubs.
At our monthly meetings we hear updates from our teams, talk about upcoming events and volunteering opportunities and typically have breakout sessions or a guest speaker. It's a good way to learn about the organization and meet like-minded volunteers. New and long-time members are equally welcome!
On August 20th our monthly meeting will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral in the Grand Hall, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
The address is 2728 Sixth Avenue San Diego, CA 92103. Enter from 5th Ave between Olive & Nutmeg.
We'll also get updates about SanDiego350's organizing for the Global Climate Walkout on September 20th, how we're supporting youth organizers, and how you can get involved!
