Addressing the Climate Crisis Through Meditation and Action
Sep 9 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Please join us for a night of meditation and community to find ways to address the climate emergency. It's natural to feel much insecurity about our planet's future when we see increasing evidence of the climate crisis.

Do we wonder if individuals and communities working from this day forward have the power needed to enact significant change? And can mindful awareness empower us to find a place of refuge, nourishment and inner wisdom?

Through small group discussion and short meditations, we will explore our moral authority and power. Please join us. No meditation experience required.

This program is provided by the Social and Climate Justice Groups of InsightSD, The First Unitarian Universalist Church and SanDiego350.

City of San Diego Vote on CCE
Sep 12 @ 1:45 pm – 3:30 pm

The City of San Diego is considering divesting city investment funds from fossil fuels, firearm manufacturers, tobacoo, private prisons and other industries and is taking the first vote at the Economic Development Committee  on Thursday October 24th at 1:45pm. Come out and show your support!

RSVP here!

The city has pledges to cut greenhouse gas emissions and shift to renewable energy sources and it is not congruent with that policy to have an investment portfolio made up of fossil fuel companies contributing to the underlying problem.

The divestment movement continues to grow and the City of San Diego needs to be encouraged to join the 1,000+ instutions that have divested over $11 trillion dollars from fossil fuel comapnies.
