Peggy Watson, David Beldock, and Paul Beach perform original acoustic folk, blues and jazz. Together, the three are known for their dazzling musicianship, beautiful harmonies, and humorous stage presence. The trio is releasing a new cd in early 2020 featuring songs co-written by Watson and Beldock.

Peggy Watson is a unique musician. She is recognized as one of San Diego’s leading acoustic singer/songwriters but has been embraced by the jazz and pop world as well. With a wide vocal range, her smooth, emotional voice effortlessly moves between contemporary folk, smoky jazz, or powerful pop ballads. Watson has released nine CDs. In a review of Peggy’s recent CD, “A Good Life,” George Varga of the San Diego Union Tribune wrote, “Watson's purity of tone, pinpoint control and glorious range are matched throughout by her unerring good taste.”

David Beldock and Peggy Watson have been frequent music collaborators for over 20 years. Beldock is widely recognized as one of San Diego’s leading guitarists. A reviewer in the L.A. Times wrote “Beldock pushes the rhythmic wagon with some of the most cracklin’ country/jazz solos and fills you’ll hear anywhere.” Beldock is also a top-notch songwriter with several awards.  His song “Feel the Wind,” won a second-place prize in the international John Lennon songwriting contest.

Bass player, Paul Beach, is a gifted musician who worked with the late singer/songwriter Larry Robinson as well as many other renowned local performers.  In the past, Beach toured with major bands in all 50 states and throughout the world. His credits include tours with Gary Puckett, Spanky and Our Gang, the Association, and the Mamas and the Papas.

Coronavirus

We will also create space for members to share our thoughts and feelings about the COVID-19 pandemic and discuss how to prevent the spread of the virus while we continue our climate activism during this difficult time.

SanDiego350 is taking the pandemic of coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously, and urges everyone to heed to governmental precautionary measures in this difficult time. According to medical leaders, the coronavirus is spreading faster than our government and our doctors can track it, test for it, or contain it. As a result, SanDiego350 has decided to cancel all in person gatherings for at least the next several weeks. We will move as many events and volunteering opportunities as possible online and continue our work to fight climate change even as we fight this disease and its impacts on our community. As the situation evolves we will make decisions about future events. Thank you for your continued support and stay safe! Read SD350's full coronavirus update here
