Oppose AB 813 – A Western Regional Grid Authority

Bill Summary:

AB 813 would allow the formation of a western regional grid authority also known as a Regional Transmission Organization. This action would give away California’s control over its own grid to western states dominated by coal. Any disagreements between California and the other participants in the new organization would be sent to Trump Administration appointees for a final decision.

Additionally, this bill would eliminate over 23,000 wind and solar jobs in California, cost billions in out-of state infrastructure projects, and increase pollution in California communities.
