Urge San Diego Schools to Adopt Plant-Based Meals
We’re calling for tastier, healthier, more sustainable meal options in school cafeterias in San Diego County!

Did you know that choosing a plant-based meal can reduce your food carbon footprint, save water, and shrink land use—helping to protect vital rainforests?
Every time we choose plant-based instead of animal-based foods (like meat, dairy, eggs, or fish), you’re taking direct action to fight climate change and create a more sustainable future. Plant-based meals are not only better for the environment, they are better for our health—and they are delicious!
Plant-based meals are more cost effective, saving school districts tens of thousands of dollars in funds that can be used in the classroom.
In the US alone, 10 billion farmed animals are raised for food each year, when there are healthier, more sustainable plant-based alternatives available.
As students, parents, and community members, we are signing this petition to urge San Diego County schools to offer more plant-based meal options daily.
Let’s make our schools greener and healthier, together! 🌎💚
