Stand Up for Democracy
We support a strong democracy where decisions are made by and for the people, not for corporations and the super-wealthy. The Trump administration is subverting free and fair elections in 2026, while also destroying environmental progress.
The time is NOW to Stand Up for Democracy!
OUR GOALS:
- Inform the public about Trump’s anti-voter maneuvers
- Mobilize the public to defend free and fair elections
- Increase voter turnout and organize voters
- Pressure our elected officials to protect democracy
- Collaborate with local and national organizations in this work
TAKE ACTION
The Stand Up for Democracy campaign is coordinated by our Raise the Alarm Team.
The Stand Up for Democracy Campaign Teams and Projects:
Get out the Vote Priority Area
- Vote Early. Vote Safe. Encourage people to get out the vote and vote DAY ONE and use ballot drop boxes.
- We will use comms (email, social media, vote webpage), banner drops, door knocking, an Organizing Session event in September, and more to raise awareness!
Election Day + Days After Mobilization Preparedness Priority Area
- Outreach to Electeds Project: Meet with electeds to warn them about anti-voter actions/scenarios and get commitments from them to act
Other Teams
- Comms Team: Support GOTV and Election Preparedness
- Poster Design with Students: Enlist high school and community college art students to design free and fair election posters and get these to public via both online and in-person channels
- Banner Drop Project: Banner actions on local highways to encourage the public to Resist Trump and support free and fair elections
