WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
- Educate San Diegans about how:
- SDG&E is a for-profit monopoly that obstructs climate action.
- Clean energy is affordable energy.
- Bring enough political pressure on decisionmakers to reverse SDG&E’s high rates.
- Work with a new statewide coalition on clean energy affordability.
WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS DO
- Learn and share our knowledge to advance our advocacy.
- Attend public meetings to monitor and respond to government decisions.
- Represent SanDiego350 at various coalition meetings.
- Meet with elected officials to advocate for clean affordable energy.
- Analyze, describe, and track relevant local, regional, and state policies.
- Write Op-Eds, Letters to the Editor, technical/planning docs.
- Participate in actions to draw attention to SDG&E and its high rates.
Team Accomplishments
- Worked in coalition with other organizations to host a + we hosted an SD350 Utilities 101 Training
- Organized a public turn out to the annual rate presentation by SDG&E executives at San Diego City Council on December 15th
- Organized protest of SDG&E President at tech conference on Feb 2nd
How TO GET INVOLVED
Team meets the First Wednesday of every month. Email Parke (SD350 Utility Justice Manager) or fill out the Volunteer Interest Form to get involved.
