The California Public Utilities Commission is considering a solar tax – which would increase rates of solar users by over $500. Consumers don't want the solar tax – it is being considered due to a high-pressure campaign from big utilities who want to kill rooftop solar. To build the just climate future our people and planet need, we must pursue policies that support the growth of rooftop solar, not penalize it and price it out of reach of working class households. The CPUC must reject the proposal and protect California's net metering program.
Rooftop solar was the first issue SanDiego350 campaigned for, after forming in 2012. Today, the struggle continues in our fight for affordable, equitable, reliable, clean energy in southern California!
