Action Hours are an easy opportunity to get involved and take action for climate justice on a weekday evening. Each Action Hour, we meet on Zoom, learn about one of SanDiego350's campaigns, and take a quick, concrete action, like leaving a voicemail with an elected representative, or texting a friend about an issue. These are perfect opportunities for anyone who would like to take a meaningful action on climate within a short time-frame, and they are fun weekday evening get-togethers with other climate activists!

This week, we will:

We will be submitting comments to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in advance of their upcoming meeting (8/31) reviewing a number of items from the County Climate Action Plan (CAP) that serve to implement aspects of the Regional Decarbonization Framework (RDF) in the unincorporated areas of the county. All these items pertain to SD350 priorities and projects, and by generating strong public comment at this meeting we will establish SD350 as an important stakeholder and participant in the planning and implementation process. The agenda items include:

1. County Facilities Zero Carbon Portfolio Plan

2. Equity-Driven Tree Planting Program
3. Pilot Carbon Farming Program

4. Energy Resiliency and Equity Report
5. Existing Building Electrification Options Report
6. Hydrogen Fueling Station Report
