The San Diego County Board of Supervisors is holding a housing workshop at their meeting on December 14. County housing staff will present a “Housing Blueprint” that will shape development in the unincorporated county for years to come. Unfortunately, this “blueprint” does not include essential sustainability, climate and equity considerations and also has not been shared with the public or stakeholders for feedback prior to this meeting.
Join environmental and equity advocates in calling on the Board of Supervisors to NOT vote on the Blueprint at Wednesday’s meeting and to instead direct staff to solicit feedback from the public and stakeholders and ensure that the Blueprint reflects the County’s sustainability and equity goals and policies. The County needs to hear from you that housing policy must support climate policy!
Use this toolkit to submit your comments to the County.
You can provide comments in person (most powerful), by calling into the meeting, or by submitting an e-comment. Instructions for all options plus talking points are in the toolkit.
Note: If commenting in person, allow time for parking (free parking under the County Admin Building) and to get through security.
