Community Teams
The Events Team plans and executes org-wide large scale events such as fundraising events, community engagement events, and educational events.
WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON
- Planning the annual Fundraiser Gala.
- Planning Party4thePlanet (our donor and volunteer appreciation party).
- Planning the Donor party and other social events.
- Providing support to events from other teams such as the Youth Summit and Open House
WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS DO
- Plan out and implement fundraising and educational events.
- Work with coalition partners to plan events.
- Recruit volunteers to work on events.
- Request donations and solicit sponsors.
Team Accomplishments
- Successfully executed our Brighter Future Gala where we raised about $25,000, had a Silent Auction with 28 items, and hosted approximately 200 guests
- Planned Party4thePlanet (our donor and volunteer appreciation party) with about 70 participants
- Provided consultations and assistance to other Sandiego350 groups such as Youth4Climate
