SD350’s annual legislative training will help YOU develop skills and confidence in communicating with elected officials and build your knowledge about key climate bills currently progressing through in the California state legislature.
Topics we’ll cover include:

- How a bill becomes the law in California
- Best practices for holding lobby meetings with State legislators
- Summary and discussion of SD350’s priority bills for this session
- Our plans for campaigning to support the priority bills and how you can get involved
This training will be held in-person at The San Diego Education Association Auditorium in Mission Valley. Register using the green button above.
This is a youth-friendly space and youth are invited and encouraged to attend and to join us for lobby meetings and other campaign activities following the training.
Note: anyone interested in climate policy is welcome! You don’t need to be an SD350 member and members of partner organizations are welcome to join.
Youth under 18 must bring (or email to Katharine Harrison ) a signed waiver, which can be found HERE.
If you are able to volunteer at the event or have any questions, please contact Katharine Harrison.
