San Diego’s climate, environment, and health organizations are coming together for a press conference and rally to say “Make Polluters Pay”.
The Polluters Pay Climate Superfund is the largest piece of climate legislation this year and would require the biggest fossil fuel polluters from 1990-2024 to pay their fair share for the climate damages they have caused. The money from the superfund would go towards cleaning up after climate disasters, making communities more climate resilient, and expanding clean energy projects, creating jobs along the way. We’ll gather outside San Diego City Hall and will have FREE t-shirts and signs for everyone.

- Jessica Calix – San Diego flood survivor and community advocate based in Southcrest
- Dr. Vi Nguyen – Pediatrician and representative of San Diego Pediatricians for Clean Air and the American Academy of Pediatrics California
- Dr. Erin Evans – Associate Professor of Sociology at Mesa College and member of San Diego County Board of Education
- Abby Costello – Youth v. Oil member and Chula Vista community organizer
- Kevin Lee – Dr. Bronner’s Environmental Health & Sustainability Manager
- Madeleine Adams – Mission Vista high schooler and Sierra Club San Diego board member
