Students around the county and the world are holding a Global Climate Strike on Sept 23 to demand a bold response to the climate crisis.

In Chula Vista, a centralized action will take place Friday morning in downtown Chula Vista. We will gather at the Chula Vista Main Library / Friendship Park. There, we will rally, listen to a land acknowledgement and enjoy music. Then, around 10:30am we will march down town and arrive back to the Chula Vista City Hall at about 11am to listen to inspirational speakers, both youth and adults!

High schools and colleges will also host strikes at their campuses. All strikes will be covid-safe (outdoors, masks). Learn more here.

If your school or organization would like to be part of the coalition organizing and supporting this mobilization, please contact us.

“Adults keep saying we owe it to the young people, to give them hope, but I don’t want your hope. I don’t want you to be hopeful. I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. I want you to act. I want you to act as if the house is on fire, because it is.” – Greta Thunberg
