Students around the county and the world are holding a Global Youth Climate Strike on Sept 23, declaring "We don't want to inherit a dying world."
At Patrick Henry High School, an action will take place Friday during 4th period at the Ampitheater on campus. We will gather at the Patriot Statue at 11:51am, then march to the Ampitheater. There, we will meet rally, listen to speakers, and have an interactive activity where students can announce their pledges for the planet. We will end at 12:47pm. Note that this action is not open to the public–only Patrick Henry High School Students may attend.
Other high schools and colleges will also host strikes at their campuses, in addition to a large central downtown strike open to the public.
If your school or organization would like to be part of the coalition organizing and supporting this mobilization, please contact us. If you're in the San Diego Unified School District, you should know that the district passed a resolution excusing students from class for climate strikes.
