At Mission Bay High School, a closed action will take place Friday during lunch on campus. We will gather at _____ rally, listen to speakers, and have an interactive activity where students can announce their pledges for the planet. We will end at ___. Note that this action is not open to the public–only Mission Bay High School Students may attend.

Other high schools and colleges will also host strikes at their campuses, in addition to a large central downtown strike open to the public.

If your school or organization would like to be part of the coalition organizing and supporting this mobilization, please contact usIf you're in the San Diego Unified School District, you should know that the district passed a resolution excusing students from class for climate strikes.

“Adults keep saying we owe it to the young people, to give them hope, but I don’t want your hope. I don’t want you to be hopeful. I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. I want you to act. I want you to act as if the house is on fire, because it is.” – Greta Thunberg
