On October 24th, young people across California will host school walkouts to say: “Youth Demand Climate Action!” and pressure legislators to support the Polluters Pay Climate Superfund, a California bill that would make the largest fossil fuel polluters pay for the climate damages they’ve caused.
Join us to support students walking out of University City High School on October 24th at 11:00AM-12:30PM. Students will exit the school right in from on Genesee Ave. We recommend you arrive early to park in the neighborhood just south of their school on Calgary Ave. It will be about a 2-5 minute walk on the sidewalk down the hill to walk to meet the students.
Hear from student leaders and Vista City Councilmember Contreras and join students in marching, chanting, and holding signs.
