Join us at the San Diego City Council Budget hearing to speak out against major cuts to street safety, youth services, and libraries/parks. We’re joining other organizations to raise our voices, and ensure that the community isn’t ignored in this process.
Please sign up today to attend in person at the May 18 hearing at 6 PM.
When you sign up, we will share a toolkit with talking points and notify you of changes to the agenda or other issues closer to the event.
The committee meeting begins at 6:00 PM. We’ll meet downstairs outside in the breezeway fifteen minutes ahead of time (at 5:45 PM), and go up to council chambers together.

The proposed budget fails to reflect the priorities of San Diegans. Our asks are:
- Fund the multimodal (road safety) team. Prioritize street safety!
- Protect the Office of Child & Youth Success and fund promised Youth Drop Centers in Southeast SD!
- The City must restore funding and services at libraries and parks and rec to at least FY 2025 levels.
