Policy Teams

The Leg Team works to pass policies for climate-change mitigation and climate justice, according to SanDiego350’s established positions and top legislative priorities. We work primarily on state legislation and agency rule-making but also support and amplify local SD350 campaigns linked to our primary efforts. The team reviews proposed legislation on environmental, climate change, and social/environmental justice issues, meets with state legislators to lobby for our priority bills, and engages with coalition partners to keep abreast of high impact bills and work on statewide campaigns.

  • Successfully facilitated a Zoom Legislative Training that educated San Diego County residents on climate-related legislation.
  • Produced a SanDiego350 ballot measure guide for the November 2024 election.
  • Built relationships with state Assemblymembers and Senators as well as coalitions of climate activists.
