San Diego’s climate, environment and environmental justice organizations are coming together for a press conference to say “Hands off Earth Day”.
On Earth Day, the Trump administration is expected to release executive orders that aim to strip nonprofit status from organizations that work on climate and which protect our air, water and future every day. And EPA Director Lee Zeldin will be in San Diego on Earth Day!
We’ll gather outside the Marine Corps Recruit Depot by Liberty Station where EPA Director Lee Zeldin will be meeting with local leaders regarding cross border pollution to stand up to these attacks on climate and environmental organizations.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you include the “West Washington St” in the address – we’re going to be at the intersection of Washington Street & the Pacific Hwy Service Road. There is limited space and parking in this location. We recommend the blue/green trolleys to Washington Street, which stop just a block or two away – you can park at Old Town and take the trolley 1 station. Bus #10 also stops at Washington & Pacific Hwy. We’ll be staying on the public sidewalk of the Pacific Hwy service road at Washington Street. There is parking in the residential community on the north side of the I-5, about an 8-10 min walk away.
