Safeguarding Our Midterms: Vote Early and Resist! Press Conference
SanDiego350 and partner organizations are planning a 30 minute press conference to coincide with the mailing out of CA ballots. We will inform the public that:
The Trump administration’s narrative of voter fraud is false.
The administration is attempting to suppress votes by undermining mail-in voting and using ICE and federal election “monitors” to intimidate voters of color.
This interference is a move away from democracy and toward authoritarianism
We can defend democracy–VOTE EARLY and VOTE SECURE!
And be prepared to RESIST if election results are ignored.
To reach as many citizens as possible, at the press conference we will present a letter with our messaging addressed to the people of San Diego and we will hear speeches from election officials, local politicians, and representatives of organizations working to protect free and fair elections. Join us to safeguard our mid-terms and Stand Up for Democracy!!
