Rapid response could include coming out to protest, helping counter misinformation, or other important work. When SD350 or allies hear of something happening, you’ll know of it and what to do within hours.
- Make sure you are registered to vote at the correct address
- Find an official drop box or in-person vote center to cast a secure vote.
- Vote! Then, sign up to get notified when your ballot is counted.
Register to vote:
- Register to vote ONLINE or update your voter info by Oct 19
- In-person same day voter registration is available! More information
- People aged 16 or 17 may pre-register to vote
- Week of Oct 5: Mail-in ballots are sent to registered voters. Check your registration here.
- Track the status of your ballot. If you haven’t received by Oct 20, call the Registrar of Voters (858-565-5800) to request another.
- Oct 6: Ballot drop boxes open
- Oct 19: Register to vote ONLINE or update your voter info (after this you can still register, but your ballot may be delayed getting counted)
- Oct 24: some vote centers open 8 AM-5 PM
- Oct 31: ALL vote centers open 8 AM-5 PM!
- Nov 3: Last day to vote! All polling sites open from 7am to 8pm. Find your location here.
We work with Alliance San Diego to help educate voters on their rights. Please check out their website to download your CA Voter Bill of Rights. ⇐
- Every eligible voter has the right to vote safely, privately, and without intimidation.
- If you are in line when polls close, you can still vote.
- If you make a mistake, you can request a new ballot before casting your vote. (see below for how)
- Even if your name is not on the list, you have the right to vote. Use this link for same-day voter registration up to and including Nov 3!

- Track the status of your ballot
- Check your voter registration information
- If you vote in-person, you can bring your mail-in ballot to make the counting process easier
- Requesting a new ballot
- You can request a new ballot online or via mail at this website
- Or you can vote in-person and get a new ballot there.
- Reporting issues with voting/rights violations
- In an emergency, call 911.
- Call the Secretary of State’s confidential toll-free Voter Hotline at (800) 345-VOTE (8683) or use their Voter Complaint Form
- Call or text 1-866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) to report issues to local and national voter protection organizations

Remember to vote all the way down the ballot– this is the best way to have your voice heard!
Some key races in San Diego include the race for CA governor, Congressional District 48, San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector, and several Superior Court judge races.
SD350 does not endorse candidates, but you can learn more about the candidates on YOUR ballot by searching up your voter information packet here.
